It won't be the exact color but growing back in shouldn't be a problem.

No, darker roots grow in after dying.

I don't believe it will till after it starts to fade. You should be fine.

go to a salon present them with the problem and have them create two different dye combinations one for the roots one for the rest to get all the same color

Nope.

Unless it's like a dramatic difference between the roots and the rest of you're hair.

ash brown is a blan color, go for a darker brown! trust me it will look much better!

whatever color you dye it, all your hair will be that color. Your roots will start to grow out and be a diff. color yes, but that won't happen for like 4 - 6 weeks after you dye it.

Always dye the roots first and work your way to the end at the very end. It will give you more even color.

Look at me. MINE DIDN'T! lol

If you're dying from root to tip then it won't show up different. but with any hair treatment you will have new growth and a touch upPer will be necessary to keep that ash brown color you're going for.

Your roots will dye the same color as the rest of your hair. Provided you follow the instructions correctly.

Is brown your natural colour or dyed?

Anyway I would ask a hair stylist - they have ways of making the roots disappear by "blending" with colour.

They will only look different when your hair grows and the origional color will show through...

When I died my hair I did it in a "Temp" die so that by the time my roots grew in the color had pretty much faided back to my origional color...

That is how I deal with roots...

But I know lots of people that want to keep the new color forever so they need to constantly go in and have their roots done...

I don't get it but then again, I'm pretty happy with my red hair.

Your roots will show the real colour of your hair. I must dye my hair as well, as my roots are starting to show.

Hun your roots will always be your natural hair color.

Don't do it. Hair dye kills your hair, and your personality. It covers up who you are, it's deceptive and it is unnecessary!

Your hair grows of course, so after a bit, the roots WILL show, and then you'll need to dye it again. To postpone that evil day, it would be better to get someone else to dye your hair for you, and they'll be able to see that the dye gets thoroughly worked into the roots.

The roots should not show up different. But hair grows and what was once close to the root will move futher down. So therefore you will have to touch up the hair close to the hair root

It certainly could happen. Also, any 'ash' color can and sometime does leave a green tint on already colored hair. If the portion of your hair that is dyed is dry, it will absorb the color differently than virgin hair. I would avoid any color that has Ash in the name.

If your hair is already brown your roots won't be that noticable :) they make only be a little bit if your natural colour is lighter or darker, i personally have dyed my hair a dark shade of brown and my roots wasn't hardly noticeable at all. =D

If you natural hair color is any other color than what you are dyeing it...then, yes...the natural hair color roots will be a different color.
